Description

The Pendleton® The Healing Blanket was designed by Diné artist Leandra Yazzie to bring awareness to the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Peoples movement and to share a message of resilience, harmony and hope.

Against the blue of Father Sky, songbirds rise from Mother Earth toward the healing rays of Morning Sun. Pendleton explains that the birds carry messages of harmony, balance and renewal. A band of turquoise symbolizes Life, while bands of red honor missing Native relatives who will never be forgotten.

Woven in the USA from 82% pure virgin wool and 18% cotton, this 64" x 80" blanket is unnapped for sharper pattern definition and finished with felt binding. A portion of proceeds supports the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center.

Leandra Yazzie (Diné) is an Arizona artist and designer whose work is shaped by the weaving traditions and histories shared with her by her grandmother and aunt, both renowned Navajo weavers.

Sheepskin of Oregon is an Authorized Pendleton Dealer, offering genuine Pendleton blankets sourced directly from Pendleton.
